A series of prints featuring men and the lady monsters who love to eat them.

Started cutting lino for the cerberus print
Getting everything to print without gaps is probably going to be the biggest challenge since there's no outline to cover up imperfections. Also its my first multicolor print so lots to learn. The process of carving is very satisfying, if a little rough on the hands and back. I do want to get a press to help with consistent print quality but that's $300 that I don't want to spend post Christmas. Baren it is!

Finalized monster designs! I'm pretty pleased with how cohesive they feel while still being individually interesting. I've been trying to shift to working more decoratively and they are representative of that direction.
This will be my first ever multicolor print. The white, red, and dark brown will each get their own blocks and the tan will be a toned paper. I do still need to source a press in order to fix my inconsistency issues. Sounds like a Christmas present for myself ^_~

Finished the design for Cerberus, now with Persephone and did a design for Phineas and the Harpies.
I'm going to bring the sphinx design more in line with the other two, then will call the design phase complete.

Worked a bit on a design for Cerberus. It's not exactly on theme (I want devouring women!) but it was still a cool idea and visually cohesive. I need to integrate Persephone somewhere (?)

So far I've finished the design for a man eating sphinx. All my art supplies are currently packed and in storage while I'm in the middle of a move, so I can't start carving the block for a few more weeks.
My current knitting project is the Tracery Vest by wipinsanity here:

Just finished Perfume of Mercury on Ao3. The next and final short story will be related to sight. Both are 18+ for sexual themes and a little violence.
Perfume of Mercury is about Vanessa, heir to the master perfumer (and hoarder) Sylve, is landed with the monumental task of sorting through a lifetime’s worth of priceless artifacts and a heaping pile of junk. She just wants to get the house and anything worthwhile ready for auction, but the place isn’t making it easy for her.
She takes a break in the only nice room in the place, and finds a paradise tended by a fey gardener, who is a delight to the senses but who cannot be touched without pain.
The first in the series is Lover, Devourer , which is about Alonso, a man near death, who finds a woman who promises heal his wounds and make him even greater than he ever was, but who will also devour him in the process.
It's a bit rough compared to the second one, unfortunately, but it is the first fiction I've written in years, so that's to be expected.
Back in 2023, I thought up a 12 prompt challenge for producing finished works. I only got 2 prompts in before getting distracted with other things, but I'd like to revisit the idea in a different from in 2025. The goal for this year is to do some kind of creative work for 50 single word prompts chosen out of a longer list, in any order. Ideally this will refill my backlog of ideas and get me drawing more consistently even during phases where I'm doing more consumption than creation.
